Join Tabra for a six week course on SPLITS! This time around we’re getting sweaty, with a mix of Pilates, strength training, active/dynamic flexibility drills, and some partnered stretching. Make some friends as we work together in class to improve our flexibility safely. As adults we need to not just focus on passive flexibility to increase our range of motion, but a mixture of stability through our joints, strength through the muscle, and an awareness of how to open our range of motion with a symbiotic relationship between the muscle groups. This is how we create functional flexibility. This series is for everyone, but has a special emphasis on dancers. Take those splits, leg scales, and arabesques onto the stage with confidence. Please bring water, notebook, and Yoga blocks if you have them!
